While some tunes have focused on rocket men and space cowboys, others have ruminated on the idea of extraterrestrial beings invading earth\u2019s orbit. Early rock hits went the route of the novelty song, \u201cFlying Saucers Rock and Roll\u201d and \u201cThe Purple People Eater,\u201d while classic rock artists such as David Bowie wrote about UFOs in a grander context.
