Note: For reasons not immediately clear, LibSyn only uploaded 1.5M of my show file, or about 4 minutes. I've deleted the file and redone the upload, and hopefully this will solve the problem. If anybody has any trouble with this episode, please contact me.

Thanks,

Now, on to the episode:

Phil Putnam is an independent musician whose combination of sophisticated music and lyrics has drawn comparison to early Melissa Etheridge, Counting Crows, Michael Stipe, and even Tori Amos. I had the honor of spending time on Skype with this talented guy talking about his past works, the creative process, how his songs originate, and what's coming up. He's one busy guy, let me tell you!

Please support Phil's current and future efforts by visiting his website.

He's also on MySpace

Phil's music is available through iTunes

Phil's music is also available on Rhapsody

Not to mention, CD Baby

As Phil's sites say, "Get your Phil today!"

Featured music:

"91", "Courage" and "Not Much Here" from the "All the Courage Required" album

"Lyin" from the "Best of Intentions" album

"Theme" from the "Long Story Short" EP
