From February 8 \u2013 28, whale lovers and exercise enthusiasts can join PWF staff and supporters as they walk, run or jog from the nonprofit's\u202fworld headquarters in Ma\u2019alaea, Maui to its Ocean Store\u202fin Lahaina for a total of 14.9 miles by signing up at\xa0www.mauiwhalefestival.org/runwalk. Participants have 20 days to complete the\xa0 mission to protect the ocean through science and advocacy and inspire environmental stewardship.\xa0


Fifth Annual World Whale Film Festival\xa0 starts Friday\xa0

The Fifth Annual World Whale Film Festival\u202f(WWFF), an important cornerstone of MWF, kicks off on February 19. The 10-day virtual offering features thoughtfully curated visual stories about ocean conservation, environmental activism and champions of nature\xa0participants can view at\xa0any time\xa0throughout the film festival. Proceeds\xa0to\xa0attend the\xa0virtual and in-person\xa0Film Festival will\xa0go directly to\xa0furthering\xa0PWF\u2019s mission\xa0work.\xa0\xa0

The\xa0Maui Artisan Virtual Craft Fair\xa0showcases products and services of Maui Nui merchants, artists and crafters, restaurants and businesses.\xa0Support Maui County businesses by shopping local at the\xa0two-month-long virtual marketplace celebrating the return of the whales. The platform encourages online consumers and collectors to shop local by driving them to the virtual store or e-commerce site of the businesses.\xa0This is not a fundraiser for PWF, as no money is generated for the organization, but a way for PWF to support other local businesses.
