Jonathan Shapiro is a multi-talented writer-producer who was born and raised in Los Angeles and whose talents extend into law and government.
Among his television credits are serving as an executive producer on \u201cJustice\u201d and \u201cJust Legal,\u201d as a supervising producer on \u201cBoston Legal\u201d and \u201cThe Practice\u201d and as co-executive producer on \u201cLife.\u201d\xa0 Additionally, he wrote multiple episodes for each of these series.
Previously, Shapiro was chief of staff to Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante and counsel for the law firm of O\u2019Melveny & Myers.\xa0 He also has served as a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division in Washington, D.C. and the Central District of California.\xa0
Shapiro was appointed by California Chief Justice Ronald George to serve a two-year term on the Commission for Impartial Courts, Task Force on Public Information and Education.\xa0 In 2010, the California State Senate appointed him to a four-year term as a member of the California Little Hoover Commission Government Oversight.\xa0 He also continues to teach as an adjunct professor at USC Gould School of Law.
