Whose Son is He?

Mark 12:35-37 seems at first blush to be a clever riddle posed by Jesus. Jesus said, “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? … David himself calls the Messiah Lord, so how is he his son?” But this was no riddle; it was yet another opportunity for hearers to believe in Jesus' true identity and authority. In this message, Jonathan gives us context into this passage as well as teases out the practical implications of what "Jesus as Lord" means for the Christian life and the church.
