Pursuing our Joy in Jesus
In appreciation of Reformation Day on October 31st, we consider what it means to pursue our joy in Jesus from Philippians 3:1-8. Paul teaches that rejoicing in Jesus is vitally important for our spiritual safety and wellbeing. Then he warns us against legalizing the gospel by adding our own works to the finished work of Jesus Christ. This is the enemy of true joy in Jesus. Finally, he develops the key to true worship as the way of sustaining our joy in Jesus.
