December 25 - Christmas Day

(Is.52:7-10;\xa0\xa0 Ps.98:1-6;\xa0\xa0 Heb.1:1-6;\xa0\xa0 Jn.1:1-18) \xa0 \u201cYou are my Son; this day I have begotten you.\u201d \xa0 The coming of the One prophesied by Isaiah and hailed by John these many days is fulfilled in our midst at this blessed moment in time.\xa0 And so in our dark world, the light that is God now shines. \u201cHark!\xa0 Your sentinels raise a cry, together they shout for joy, for they see directly, before their eyes, the Lord restoring Zion.\u201d\xa0 To \u201call the ends of the earth\u201d He makes \u201cHis salvation known: in the sight of the nations He has revealed His justice.\u201d\xa0 For the Lord God walks among us now as man; He \u201cwho is the refulgence of His glory, the very imprint of His being,\u201d is now revealed, is now made flesh; \u201cfull of grace and truth,\u201d He appears in our midst. \u201cIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.\u201d\xa0 And He through whom \u201call things came to be,\u201d who brought life, \u201cthe light of the human race,\u201d now shines \u2013 and now we come to know Him; now we hear the Word spoken to our ears\u2026 now we can say, \u201cThe Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.\u201d\xa0 The Word no longer hidden, God no longer speaks \u201cin partial and various ways,\u201d but now \u201cthrough the Son\u201d the fullness of truth, the blessing of peace, is upon us. \u201cHow beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of Him,\u201d for He comes \u201cannouncing peace\u2026 announcing salvation.\u201d\xa0 No longer need we wander in darkness, wondering, Where is our God?\xa0 He is here.\xa0 He is Jesus.\xa0 He washes all darkness from our minds, He accomplishes \u201cpurification from sins,\u201d and He sits \u201cat the right hand of the Majesty on high,\u201d giving power to be like Him, \u201cto become children of God, to those who believe in His name, \u201cwho were born not by natural generation nor by human choice nor by a man\u2019s decision but of God.\u201d\xa0 Come, see and know the transcendent glory standing in our midst. And so, what have we to do but rejoice?\xa0 Though \u201cno one has ever seen God,\u201d though He has seemed to us beyond understanding, yet \u201cthe only Son\u2026 has revealed Him.\u201d\xa0 So let us \u201csing joyfully before the King, the Lord\u201d \u201cwith the harp and melodious song.\u201d\xa0 Let us \u201cbreak into song\u201d and \u201csing praise.\u201d\xa0 For He whom \u201call the angels of God worship\u201d has come for our salvation, and our Christmas should only be merry.\xa0 God be with you, brothers and sisters.\xa0 Jesus love you. \xa0 Written, read & chanted, and produced by James Kurt. \xa0Music: "Baby Being Born" from The Innocent Heart, first album of Songs for Children of Light, by James Kurt. \xa0 ******* O LORD, your glory is revealed to us this day, and so let us offer you due praise. Glory to you, LORD and GOD, for now the feet of Jesus walk among us and peace is proclaimed to the ends of the earth; salvation is ours by the grace and truth He brings to this land.\xa0 Let all eyes behold the salvation He has wrought in our midst.\xa0 Let all souls break out in song in praise of His glory. It is our joy to worship you, O LORD, and the only Son whom you have sent.\xa0 For you are our life; in you we are born \u2013 by you all Creation comes to be.\xa0 And now you are with us in the flesh of your Son; now your dwelling is among us.\xa0 To us this day please bring your peace.
