IU-Maryland Postgame Show: The Cycle of Second Half Collapses Continues

Published: Jan. 4, 2020, 9:03 p.m.

On Saturday afternoon, Indiana received another Big Ten road butt kicking, losing to Maryland 75-59. Indiana cut it to 3 at one point in the second half, before Maryland became the latest team to go on a massive second half run that the Hoosiers had no answer for.

After the game, our crew broke it all down on The Assembly Call IU Postgame Show.

On the mics: Jerod, Ryan, and Coach

Among the topics discussed:

— Joey Brunk was the lone bright spot for Indiana
— What does Indiana need to do -- besides just get better shooters -- to run more effective offense?
— The leadership issues that are being highlighted by the these big opponent runs
— What's up with Rob Phinisee?
— What's the bigger issue for Archie Miller: the message or his ability to communicate the message? (Or both?)
— Why does Coach Tonsoni chase his wife around the living room after shows? (Seriously, make sure you listen to the after-show stuff. You won't want to miss it on this show.)

We also point out a few meaningful moments you may have missed, go inside the numbers, and hand out our game balls. All of that, and more, on this edition of The Assembly Call.
