Recently having made an appearance on FOX\u2019s newest reality show \u201cFlirty Dancing,\u201d Leah Hawkins is an actress and dancer who is taking the entertainment industry by storm with every performance. Hosted by Jenna Dewan, \u201cFlirty Dancing\u201d is a show that attempts to bring two strangers together through the language of dance. In the show, strangers each learn half of a dance routine, meet and go on a blind date at a beautiful location where they dance together to see if there is chemistry. In the season finale of the dancing competition, Leah was able to demonstrate both her dancing skills and build chemistry with her on-screen counterpart.

Leah was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and danced competitively up until the age of five. She began taking ballet classes at the Ibsen Dance Theater in Missouri where she found her second home. \u201cGrowing up, I always danced around in the living room or would perform scenes from Disney movies on the fireplace,\u201d Leah said.

She went on to graduate from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting. A few months later, she decided to move to Los Angeles and take her talents directly to the heart of the business. Making her on-camera debut in \u201cFlirty Dancing\u201d it allowed Leah to express herself with her two favorite things: dancing and acting.

When she is not practicing her craft, Leah is looking forward to getting involved with various charities that support pet rescue and environmental concerns. Due to her sister being audibly impaired, Leah Hawkins can communicate via sign language.
