Dr.\xa0Rick\xa0D.\xa0Merritt\xa0has been the senior pastor at 180 Faith Ministries in Vista CA since 1996 reaching the Tri-City and North County area Dr.\xa0Merritt\xa0has put his counseling and pastoral experience of over 25 years into his first book; The Bridge Between Us. He is requested across the Continental US and abroad to teach and give seminars on marriage, family, and overall healthy relationships.

He has a Ph.D. in Pastoral Care and Clinical Counseling; he is a certified MFT (Marriage Family Therapist), and belongs to the American Academy of Clinical Family Therapists Association, along with other certifications from Light University and the American Association of Christian Counselors in Premarital & Marital Coaching, Addiction & Recovery, Crisis Counseling for Acute Stress, Grief & Trauma Care, PTSD and Combat Stress.\xa0
