About: Kazy started out as a restaurateur and Golden Gloves boxer before graduating from the prestigious New York Film Academy. From there, he began working in numerous theatre, film and television roles, including \u201cPerson of Interest,\u201d \u201cBlindspot,\u201d \u201cLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit,\u201d \u201cBlue Bloods,\u201d \u201cSneaky Pete,\u201d and \u201cJohn Wick.\u201d

Drawing inspiration from his mother who\u2019d been diagnosed with Lupus, and his own boxing experience, Kazy wrote \u201cStanding Eight,\u201d a short about a boxer who is forced to retire after being diagnosed with Systemic Lupus. He oversaw two successful Kickstarter campaigns to fully fund the film. Since its completion, \u201cStanding Eight\u201d has won eleven festival awards including Trinity International Film Festival\u2019s Best Short Film, and is currently nominated for another four. He hopes to release the film later this year on Amazon, with proceeds going to Lupus Research Alliance. Kazy just booked another big movie with a major star (information is embargoed for now), that is being filmed as we speak in Los Angeles.
