Reading is a huge part of imagination and growth for individuals of all ages, so why should there be a limitation to it for certain demographics? With that said, one brand is taking this idea and making a huge difference by giving children of all different backgrounds and vulnerabilities a chance at not only bettering their reading skills but becoming confident students as well as gaining mentorship and money management skills.

Traveling Stories is a nonprofit organization that empowers children to outsmart poverty by equipping them with literacy and money management skills. They empower kids by helping them fall in love with reading by the 4th grade! Typically kids would visit a StoryTent, pick out books, and then read with a volunteer, but having to pivot around the pandemic as we all have, instead of doing physical StoryTents, this organization has just launched a Virtual StoryTent!

Not only do Virtual StoryTents improve children\u2019s reading skills, but it allows them to gain mentorship from qualified volunteers as well as money management skills, for earning \u201cBook Bucks\u201d teaches children how to use their earned money to buy prizes they\u2019ve had their eyes on. This also keeps children motivated in keeping up with their reading and weekly sessions.

Traveling Stories truly allows children to gain life-long skills that can help them grow into confident and successful students as well as individuals. They have had an impact on children for over a decade and with more enrollment opportunities, can continue to do it for many decades to come!
