About The Comfort Cub: The mission of The Comfort Cub is to bring comfort to anyone experiencing a broken heart as a result of a significant loss or trauma. Founded in Encinitas, California, in 2000 by Marcella Johnson, the non-profit organization has pledged to give away 1,000 Comfort Cubs to hospital patients nationwide. The organization continues to receive calls nationwide from hospitals asking for Comfort Cubs for their first responders, doctors, and medical staff due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
