Selena Tan talks "Crazy Rich Asians", creating her career in Singapore, her new film "Shotgun Wedding", and going all out for an audition!\nAbout Selena:\nSelena Tan is an award-winning actress, producer, director, writer, and performer.\xa0She will be seen next in the upcoming Prime comedy, \u201cShotgun Wedding\u201d opposite Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel, set to release on January 27, 2023.\nShe was one of the first Singaporeans to be cast in the critically acclaimed movie Crazy Rich Asians. Selena played \u2018Alix Cheng\u2019, one of Eleanor Young\u2019s (Michelle Yeoh) sisters and Nick Young\u2019s (Henry Golding) aunt.\xa0\nSelena started her career as a stand-up comedian and has over 24 years of experience in theater. In 2000, Selena started Dream Academy, one of Singapore\u2019s first private limited Arts Entertainment companies. She is best known for their well-loved brands including Happily Ever Laughter and the Dim Sum Dollies.\nShe has appeared in international films such as Rogue Trader opposite Ewan McGregor and Anna Friel.\xa0She is an ambassador for the LGBTQ+ movement, Pink Dot, which focuses on the support for the freedom to love.
