Robert Palmer Watkins talks what it was like to join The Walking Dead, his career in horror films, and his most recent audition mishap!\nAbout Robert:\nRobert Palmer Watkins caught the acting bug early on, beating out hundreds of other teens for the coveted role of Danny in Barksdale Theater\u2019s production of \u201cGrease. After 4 years of training at a center for the arts high school, then 2 years studying musical theater at Christopher Newport University, he left everything behind to move west where he would develop his craft further, graduating from the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Hollywood.\nRobert is now appearing in AMC\u2019s \u201cThe Walking Dead: World Beyond,\u201d playing Lt. Frank Newton. Watkins racked up 191 episodes in his two and a half years as Dillon Quartermaine on ABC\u2019s iconic \u201cGeneral Hospital.\u201d He recently starred in two action thrillers, \u201cLast Three Days\u201d and \u201cPuncture,\u201d with several features to be released this year, including \u201cTrapped Inn\u201d and \u201cSix Feet.\u201d Robert is currently pitching his own comedy series \u201cTub Life\u201d and continues to release original music under the artist name \u201cPalmer.\u201d\nRobert\u2019s professional journey began when he booked his first two guest star appearances on Spike\u2019s \u201c1000 Ways to Die\u201d and Lifetime\u2019s \u201cMy Crazy Ex.\u201d Soon after, he was elevated to leading man status in his first feature, \u201cSafari.\u201dRob continued to build momentum, working on projects such as \u201cFrat House Musical\u201d for Subway, the web series \u201cSketch Juice,\u201d a feature film \u201cBack to Awesome,\u201d and Cinemax\u2019s series \u201cThe Girl\u2019s Guide to Depravity.\u201d He added two pilots under his belt with CW Seed\u2019s \u201cCupid\u2019s Match,\u201d starring as the titular Cupid, and \u201cGreen Valley,\u201d starring as Eddie Escovedo.\nWhen he\u2019s not on set, you\u2019ll find Robert at the gym, the beach, on hikes, or in jam sessions with his buddies.
