Rebecca Lamarche talks working both as an actor and casting director, her new film "Sappy Holiday", and that time she pulled out all the dancing moves she had!\nAbout Rebecca:\nRebecca Lamarche\xa0is no stranger to entertainment working in many facets of the industry as a Filmmaker, Casting Director, Producer, and Actress. Rebecca is taking the stage in the new movie, "Sappy Holiday"\xa0which premieres on December 17th\xa0on UPtv! The movie is also set to premiere in Canada on December 9th\xa0on Super Channel Heart and Home.\xa0In addition to her on-screen appearances, she cast, and associate produced, "Christmas Lucy Charm", "Christmas in the Wilds", "Christmas on the Slopes", "Santa's Got Style", and "Christmas in Wolf Creek"!\xa0\xa0\xa0\nIn the last year alone, Rebecca held roles in three different TV movies. The first, a rom-com entitled\xa0\u201cFit for a Prince,\u201d which premiered\xa0across Hallmark Channel on March 6th, 2021.\xa0\xa0Within the upcoming flick,\xa0Rebecca plays the supporting role of socialite\xa0\u2018Brooke Hamilton\u2019\xa0who lives in Ottawa\u2019s iconic\xa0Ch\xe2teau Laurier. The film also stars\xa0actors Natalie Hall (playing the seamstress-turned-love-interest) and Jonathan Keltz (playing the prince).\xa0Rebecca\u2019s two other films include\xa0Super Channel\u2019s \u2018Heart & Home\u2019 romance\xa0\u201cMy Boss\u2019 Wedding\u201d (March 27th, 2021\xa0and\xa0Lifetime\u2019s thriller \u201cDeadly Mom Retreat\u201d from MarVista Entertainment.\nRebecca was born and raised in Canada, natively speaking both English and French. Her Dalhousie University studies\xa0informed her work on both sides of the camera making her an intuitive filmmaker and performer. From network television to indie features, Rebecca doesn't compromise when it comes to telling great stories; putting passion and dedication into every project she does coupled with an easy-going "Canadian" sensibility.\xa0As a filmmaker, Rebecca has made it a priority for years to push inclusive casting and champion people of color both on-screen and in remuneration.\xa0Prior to the BLM Movement, she sat on a panel in May 2020 for the Toronto BIPOC TV & Film community to discuss the TV \u2018Movie Of The Week\u2019 genre, representation, and opportunities.\nRebecca can also be seen acting and producing in the Shudder indie film\xa0\u201cAnything for Jackson,\u201d\xa0which gained traction in the 2020 festival circuit. Her additional recent acting projects for TV movies include:\xa0Home for Harvest, Love Alaska, and\xa0A Very Corgi Christmas.\xa0While her recent casting and producing credits include:\xa0The Wedding Planners\xa0(TV series),\xa0Romance In The Wilds\xa0(TV movie),\xa0Christmas Exchange, and\xa0Christmas in the Rockies.\nIn the hopes of pursuing her passion for action films in the future, Rebecca decided to start her firearms training in 2012. She was\xa0selected by the\xa0Canadian Defense & Foreign Affairs Institute\xa0and\xa0Canadian Forces\xa0to complete the Canadian Military Journalism Course where she studied and was trained in military reporting. Then in 2019, she earned her Restricted and Non-Restricted Firearms License. Most recently, in 2020, she earned her Black Badge and started competitive pistol shooting (9mm).
