Keith Arthur Bolden talks the importance of telling Black stories, working on "Lovecraft Country", his starring role in "Terror Lake Drive", and shares that time he really thought he lost the role!\nAbout Keith:\xa0\nBorn and raised in Los Angeles and surrounded by all of the action of the entertainment industry, Keith wouldn\u2019t discover his passion of acting and the theater until college. Despite going to college with the goal of pursuing a career in civil service, Keith joined an African-American acting troupe, quickly discovered his passion for performing and hasn\u2019t looked back since. In recent years, Keith has built an impressive roster of high-profile credits, including \u201cLovecraft Country,\u201d \u201cUnderground,\u201d Cobra Kai,\u201d "Black Lightning,\u201d \u201cJungle Cruise,\u201d \u201cThe Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,\u201d \u201cThe Haunting of Hill House,\u201d and \u201cChicago PD.\u201d\xa0\nNext up, Keith stars in the ALLBLK original series \u201cTerror Lake Drive,\u201d coming to the AMC streaming platform in June. The show follows a suburb of Atlanta that is rocked by a string of disappearing women set against the backdrop of the Covid pandemic. Keith plays \u2018Detective Reynolds,\u2019 a hardnosed detective searching for the truth which eventually leads him to uncover a world of sex trafficking.\nA resident of Atlanta since 2013, Keith is an associate professor of Theater and Performances at Spelman College. He teaches acting classes and facilitates a fellowship program between the University and the infamous Alliance Theater. In his work at the college, he also directs one show a year and in 2021, at the Tony Award Winning Alliance Theatre, he directed a play that dealt with Black Lives Matter and the harrassment/killings of unarmed black by police officers. Keith is also on several advisory boards at the Alliance Theatre, a role in which he works closely with his wife, who is also the associate artistic director.\xa0\nIn his illustrious career, his favorite roles are those in which he gets to work with the same people again. Having starred in \u201cUnderground,\u201d with creator Misha Green, she later brought Keith back for \u201cLovecraft Country.\u201d He has also loved his many experiences in \u201cCobra Kai\u201d and \u201cBlack Lightning,\u201d both roles he returned to for multiple seasons.\nWhen not acting, Keith makes sure to carve out time for self care and believes in the importance of therapy. He loves taking the time to drive with the windows down and the music playing.
