Daniele Lawson talks her new movie "King Richard" with Will Smith (in theaters now), growing up in the business, and a role she really wanted!\nAbout Daniele:\nDaniele Denise Lawson (Dani) is an American actress who was born and raised in Southern California. She knew early on that she wanted a career in the entertainment industry when she discovered her passion for dancing. At the early age of 2, she began dancing with many companies such as Fantasia Dance Ensemble, Victory Praise Dancers and Faithful Dance Company. From there, she booked her first national commercial at 4 years old with Toyota, then signed with Youth Talent Connection Agency. With her new agency, she went on to book many more national commercials such as AT&T, Wells Fargo Bank, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Comcast Xfinity, Sprite and more. At 6 years old Daniele got the opportunity to dance in the Just Dance Kids 2 video game.\nDaniele also has extensive training throughout her career, where she studied voice, participated in the Impact Performing Arts Conservatory. At the Conservatory, she took ballet, jazz, modern dance, praise dance, tap, acting classes and vocal lessons. Daniele loves theater and during her years at Impact she played many roles such as Dorothy in The Wiz, Miss Hannigan in Annie, Zazu in The Lion King, and Iago from Aladdin.\nDaniele has studied acting under Lisa Picotte, Sonya Leslie, and The Groundlings to name a few. She booked her first pilot at 6 years old, in the CBS production Herd Mentality with Damon Wayans. At the age of 9, she co-starred on CBS\u2019 CSI: Cyber alongside Anise Fuller, Shad Moss, James Van Der Beek, and Patricia Arquette. This role drew the attention of her now managers at Entertainment Lab, who she later signed with. Daniele also co-starred in Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, and Game Shakers. She co-starred on CBS\u2019s hit show Young Sheldon, ABC\u2019s Mixed-ish, FOX\u2019s 9-1-1, and Netflix\u2019s Dad Stop Embarrassing Me. Currently, she has a recurring role as \u201cJahzara\u201d on Freeform\u2019s Good Trouble. Daniele was cast in the role of \u201cIsha Price\u201d in the anticipated feature film, King Richard starring alongside Will Smith. The movie is set to be released on November 19, 2021.\nWhen Daniele is not acting she loves creating fashion and make-up looks. She also enjoys cooking, going to see plays, and spending time with family and friends. Daniele wants to study and work hard to achieve a MFA degree and become bi-lingual in Spanish all while doing what she loves to do which is acting!
