The Two Gay Geeks had a chat with Walt Wright who has written Brimstone's Knight, a book about dragons among other things. It is the first book in a trilogy that he is writing. We chat about how he got into writing, what precipitated this story and book, as well as his other projects he has going. This interview is part of our Pride Month Celebration. About Walt Wright W. Wright, the author of Brimstone’s Knight, resides in a small rural community located within the foothills of North Carolina. Surrounded by solitude and vineyards, he focuses his time on writing, as well as painting; he is also an award-winning artist. As a pre-teen, he became an avid reader. After taking a creative writing class during his senior year in high school, he began to write short stories for his friends and family. The idea for Brimstone’s Knight came about from his experience with organized religion, his unquenchable thirst for knowledge regarding the Knights Templar, the love of mythical dragons, and, like most people, his experience of life and love. About Brimstones Knight Eric has just moved back into the old Hampton family mansion. He is totally unaware of the recent tragedy that had transpired in his hometown. At its source is an unspeakable evil that is rapidly growing worldwide. It’s not until he hears the voice of that thing in the forest that he realizes his destiny. He is to command a new breed of modern knights, and they ride upon dragons. As the knights assemble, Eric finds himself falling deeply in love with one of them. Now, he must not only protect the world from what is coming but protect his new love as well. Religion, politics, friendships, and unmentionable power will shape their lives in unexpected ways. After many trials and battles, Lord Commander Eric Hampton becomes sure of one thing above all things, love always wins!
