Tackling cyber threats: Behind the scenes with the NCSC and GNCCB

This is part one of a two-part special. \n\nThe average cost of a cyber security attack is \u20ac4.5 million. The most famous example of an attack of this nature in Ireland is of course the ransomware attack on the HSE last year. The bill from that incident currently stands at around \u20ac100 million and that could run as high as \u20ac670 million.\n\nBut who are the teams fighting against cyber-attacks in this country and how ready is Ireland for another one?\n\nJess Kelly went to the National Emergency Coordination Centre to meet with the teams of two bodies that tackle the issue of cybercrime daily \u2013 the National Cyber Security Centre and the National Garda Cyber Crime Bureau.
