Learning To Stand On Your Own Like Rey Skywalker

Published: May 26, 2020, midnight

Very little has divided Star Wars fandom over the past 5 years more than the question of who Rey\u2019s parents were... \U0001f631

"The Force Awakens" gave us no answers at all... \U0001f624

"The Last Jedi" told us she was nobody... \U0001f633

And "The Rise of Skywalker" had us go from nobody, to Palpatine\u2019s granddaughter, to her assuming the mantle of Skywalker. (No wonder people called watching that film "a rollercoaster!!" \U0001f92a)

But in the end, the story of Rey Skywalker is one of learning that your lineage matters much less than who you CHOOSE to become. (Even if you choose to take the name of someone else! \U0001f62c)

We talk about that on this week's show, PLUS:

The cast of Season 2 of "The Mandalorian" is going to need a 50 passenger bus to get to the set! \U0001f68dWhich begs the question: Are there TOO MANY new characters coming to Season 2? \U0001f92f

What would it be like for the guy with the coolest lightsaber in Star Wars (we're talking about the Grand Inquisitor, of course) to come into LIVE ACTION? \U0001f601
