ICE is Getting Ready for the End of DACA

Published: Jan. 2, 2020, midnight

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is reportedly filing new claims with the immigration courts seeking to begin deportation proceedings against several people who fall under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA, on the assumption that DACA will be allowed to expire without Congressional action. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson says something that I have been saying for a while now when he said, “Some people say it’s compassionate just to let them do anything they want to do. That’s not compassionate at all. What’s compassionate is helping people who cannot take care of themselves manage. And If we can get them into the right setting so they’re getting proper medications and counseling, many of them become quite functional at that point.” According to the mother of an Ohio mother of two, when her daughter went into a long coma following a seizure, doctors told the woman’s mother that her daughter was “brain dead” and she should “pull the plug.” But seven months after slipping into a coma, the daughter awakened, making a full recovery. Plus, we will have our first visit of 2020 by Ron Edwards. This and more as time allows, plus don't forget about the Edwards Notebook and the Veteran's Tip of the Day!
