Lighting up the Cross!
The cross is foolishness to the natural mind. We see this when Peter cried "Never Lord!" to Jesus' prediction of the cross for himself and his followers. Peter's blind foolish nature infects us all. That's why just before we begin our Lenten journey to the cross, Jesus takes us up a mountain, reveals his divine glory, and in doing so, lights up for us once more the saving wisdom of the cross!
