Beloved: Gospel of John\nHow\u2019s Your Temple?\nNovember 25, 2018\n\nPlease turn in your Bibles to John 2:13-25\n\n3 Temples: \n\n1: Temple: as a gathering place (V 13-17)\nChurch (ecclesia): gathering or coming together gladly/freely in God\u2019s name\nApp: Thinking of how we do worship, how might Jesus want to clean house?\n\n2: Temple: as a Savior (V 18-22)\nA.\tWhat did Jesus mean, \u201cDestroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up\u201d\na.\t\u201cYou are destroying this stone temple\u201d\nb.\t\u201cYou will destroy me\u201d\n\nB.\tWhat did He mean, \u201cAnd in three days I will raise it up\u201d? \na.\t\u201cYou will kill me and in 3-days I will rise.\u201d \nb.\t\u201cI replace the stone temple.\u201d\n\n\u201cI tell you that something greater than the temple is here.\u201d Matthew 12:6\n\n\u201cWoman\u2026believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem... \u2026a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:21-23\n\n3: Temple: You and me (V 23) (ref. John 2:11, John 20:31)\n\nDo you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1Corinthians 6:19-20\n\nWhat is God\u2019s Spirit speaking into your life today? How must you respond?
