You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father\u2019s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.\u201d\nThomas said to Him, \u201cLord, we don\u2019t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?\u201d\n6 Jesus answered, \u201cI am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.\u201d John 14:1-6\n\nPromise 1: Heaven is a physical place\n\n\u201cThose who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.\u201d Isaiah 40:31\n\n\u201cWe\u2026would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.\u201d \n1Corinthians 5:8a\n\n\u201cSee what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!\u201d 1John 3:1a\n\nPromise 2: Heaven is promised to God's children\n\n\u201cGod decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.\u201d Ephesians 1:5\n\nPromise 3: Your place in heaven is being prepared by Christ Himself\n\nV 2b-3a: "My Father's house has many rooms... If it were not so, \nwould I have told you I'm going to prepare a place for you?"\n\n"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has even imagined \nwhat God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2 NLT\n\nI will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.\u201d \nThomas said to Him, \u201cLord, we don\u2019t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?\u201d\nPromise 4: Jesus is the right road to the Father\u2019s house\n\nPromise 5: You are personally invited\n\n\u201c\u2026this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.\n 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us\u2014whatever we ask\u2014we know that we have what we asked of Him.\u201d 1John 5:11-15\n\nLet\u2019s Pray:\n\t-What is God\u2019s Spirit saying to you today?\n\t-How must you respond?
