Deuteronomy 21:18-21)The promise to \\u201cenjoy a long life\\u201d doesn\\u2019t suggest that a child who died must have been disobedient, but\\u2026 1.\\u2026when a child is about honoring his parents, he will avoid much of the sin and madness that could threaten his life2.\\u2026that child\\u2019s life will be enriched and therefore increase his chance of health and welfare 4Reasons for Honoring1.Do it because you\\u2019re a Christ-follower (Vs 1: \\u201cIn the Lord\\u201d) 2.Do it because it\\u2019s commanded (Vs 2) 3.Do it because God promises your chances of living more fully(Vs 3a)4.Do it because God promises your chances of living (3b)App: Regardless of age, agree with God about how well you have honored. Vs 4: Exasperating or InvestingThese commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
