Galatians 5:22\\n \\n\\u201cTherefore, as God\\u2019s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.\\u201d Colossians 3:12\\n\\nKindness = love in action\\n\\n On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. \\u201cTeacher,\\u201d he asked, \\u201cwhat must I do to inherit eternal life?\\u201d \\n26 \\u201cWhat is written in the Law?\\u201d He replied. \\u201cHow do you read it?\\u201d \\n27 He answered, \\u201c \\u2018Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind\\u2019; and, \\u2018Love your neighbor as yourself.\\u2019\\u201d \\n28 \\u201cYou have answered correctly,\\u201d Jesus replied. \\u201cDo this and you will live.\\u201d \\n29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, \\u201cAnd who is my neighbor?\\u201d \\n30 In reply Jesus said: \\u201cA man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. Luke 10:25-31\\n\\n3-Possible Attitudes Toward People\\n\\nFirst attitude: I can keep my distance \\n\\nV 32: \\u201cSo too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.\\u201d \\n\\nSecond attitude: I am aware, but I don't care \\n\\nThird attitude: I can show kindness\\n\\nV 33, \\u201cBut a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.\\u201d \\n\\n\\u201cSo in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you,\\n for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.\\u201d Matthew 7:12\\n\\nHow do we become a kinder people? \\n1: I must start with my heart (V 25)\\n\\nApp: Confess the problem\\n\\n\\u201cIf we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.\\u201d 1John 1:8-9\\n\\n2: I must be willing to see needs (V 32)\\n\\nApp: I must eliminate hurry from my life \\n\\n3: I must be willing to listen (V 33: \\u201ctook pity\\U0001f60a\\n\\nV 34: He went to the man and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. \\u2018Look after him,\\u2019 he said, \\u2018and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.\\u2019 \\n\\nLet\\u2019s Pray:\\n\\t-What is God\\u2019s Spirit saying to you today?\\n\\t-How must you respond?"
