For we have seen His \\nstar in the East and have come to worship Him.\\u201d Matthew 2:2 NKJV\\n\\nTherefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God\\u2019s \\nmercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, \\nholy and pleasing to God \\u2014this is your true and proper worship.\\n\\n1You, God, are my God, \\nearnestly I seek you; \\nI thirst for you,\\nmy whole being longs for you, \\nin a dry and parched land \\nwhere there is no water.\\n2 I have seen you in the sanctuary \\nand beheld your power and your glory.\\n3 Because your love is better than life, \\nmy lips will glorify you.\\n4 I will praise you as long as I live, \\nand in your name I will lift up my hands.\\nPsalm 63:1-4\\n\\n\\u201cDraw near to God and He will draw near to you.\\u201d James 4:8a\\n\\nWhy Lift Hands? \\n\\n1: Lifting hands as a sign of honoring\\n\\n\\u201cAnd when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child \\nwith Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped.\\u201dMatthew 2:11\\n\\n2: Lifting hands as a sign of defeat: surrender\\n\\nGod exalted Him to the highest place\\nand given Him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
