Before and After

b'Jesus Unleashed\\nBefore and After\\nSeptember 30, 2018\\n\\n \\u201cAll eyes on Jesus!\\u201d \\n\\n\\u201cSo then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, \\ncontinue to live your lives in Him\\u2026\\u201d Colossians 2:6\\n\\n\\u201cSince, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things \\nabove, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.\\u201d Colossians 3:1\\n\\nJesus Unleashed! \\n\\nThe beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, 2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: \\u201cI will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way\\u201d 3 \\u201ca voice of one calling in the wilderness, \\u2018Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.\\u2019 \\u201d Mark 1:1-3\\n\\nAnd this was his message: \\u201cAfter me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 8 I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.\\u201d\\n9 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, He saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove. 11 And a voice came from heaven: \\u201cYou are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.\\u201d Mark 1:7-11\\n\\n1: Preparation (v2-3): John came \\n2: Obedience (V 9): Jesus came\\n3: Validation (V 11): a voice came\\n\\t4: Demonstration (V 12): Jesus was sent. V 13: angels came. \\n\\n1: Preparation: Nazareth\\u2014a nothing kind of place\\n\\nThought: Could it be that you\\u2019re in a place of preparation\\n\\nJohn tried to deter Him, saying, \\u201cI need to be baptized by you, and you come to me? 5 Jesus replied, \\u201cLet it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.\\u201d The John consented. Matthew 3:14-15\\n\\n2: Obedience (v9): Jesus did what was required of Him\\n\\n3: Validation (v11b): \\u201cYou are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.\\u201d \\n\\nApp: The Father\\u2019s love is based on relationship, not performance\\n\\nQuestion: Where is God calling you to step out in obedience? \\n\\n4: Demonstration (v12): From validation to the wilderness\\n\\n\\tApp: Prove the Father\\u2019s validation in the wilderness\\n\\nAnd the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered for a short time, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 To Him be the power forever and ever.
