Welcome to Stories Come to Life. I am your host, Kathryn Lopez Luker. Today’s story is the first part of one of my favorite tales of all time! The 13 Clocks, was written by James Thurber. There was a copy of this book in my home as I was growing up, and I think my brothers and sisters and I read it so many times that we just about memorized many of the passages. In this story, there is a wicked duke, a beautiful princess, a young prince who has to go on an almost impossible quest, and a little man who wears an indescribable hat. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this wonderful tale!

Now sit back, relax, and listen to this story come to life!
