b'Tonight\'s special guest is\\xa0Tambry Harris\\xa0from Charlotte, North Carolina, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. The author of\\xa0\'Awakening the Light: A Survivors to Thrivers Going-Forward Story\', her goals included\\xa0guiding survivors of abuse and trauma to find strength and freedom by examining limiting beliefs and claiming a Going-Forward Story that leads to a whole-hearted, meaningful life.\\xa0\\u201cI was a woman wrapped in the\\xa0image\\xa0of having it all together," she says, "with a successful career, beautiful daughter, and seemingly happy marriage.\\xa0Then a sudden panic attack became my\\xa0wake-up call\\xa0that my life was not \'perfect.\'\\xa0Years of peeling back the painful layers revealed what I had suppressed\\xa0for decades - I was a\\xa0victim of childhood sexual abuse." She goes on, "My family allowed my abuser ample access starting when I was five years old. The sense of not being seen during these violations led to a deep sense of unworthiness. Years were spent understanding and accepting the\\xa0impact\\xa0this abuse had on my\\xa0life choices\\xa0and my\\xa0beliefs\\xa0about myself, including marrying two abusers." Tambry\\u2019s twenty years of coaching and eight years of spiritual direction translate into her work with the\\xa0Going Forward: Survivors to Thrivers\\xa0(GFS2T) organization. She\\xa0believes as we make our wounds visible and available, they can be of service to the healing of others. Her story of wounding, struggle, and healing encourages survivors to understand their limiting beliefs, examine unhealthy patterns, and claim their going-forward stories.'
