God continues to send plagues on the Egyptians, sending the plague of\xa0pestilence on the livestock, and then boils and hail, warning Pharaoh\xa0publicly with the plague of hail to shelter the livestock, but those\xa0who did not fear God did not shelter them. After that Moses warns of a\xa0plague of locusts which devastate the land, and Pharaoh's advisors\xa0tell him to give in, because of all the damage that has been done.\xa0Pharaoh offers Moses a compromise but will not let the women or\xa0children go. The plague of locusts comes, and after that the plague of\xa0darkness.
Through all of this, God is making the Hebrews, who were enslaved,\xa0into a mighty nation.
