(ISO 1) In Bhagavad-g\u012bt\u0101 K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a states that if one does not perform yaj\xf1a (sacrifice), he is a thief. Yaj\xf1a means acknowledging that things have been taken from K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. We should think, "K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, You have given us many, many things for our maintenance." This much acknowledgement K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a wants; that's all. Otherwise, what can He expect from you? What are you in His presence? We should acknowledge K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a's kindness. Therefore, before we eat we offer the food to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a and say, "K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, You have given us this nice food, so first You taste it." Then we eat it. K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a is not hungry, yet He can eat the whole world and then again produce it exactly as it was. P\u016br\u1e47asya p\u016br\u1e47am \u0101d\u0101ya p\u016br\u1e47am ev\u0101va\u015bi\u1e63yate (\u012a\u015bo Invocation). K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a is so perfect that if you take from K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a all of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a's energy, all the original energy is still with Him.
