Richard\xa0is an Independent Spirit Award\xa0nominated director and cinematographer, whose work includes the films: \xa0COLMA: The Musical\xa0and Fruit Fly\xa0for H.P. Mendoza, and Wayne Wang's\xa0films,\xa0The Princess of Nebraska and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.

He has worked as a DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) on television shows, most notably Arrested Development.\xa0

Following these projects,\xa0Richard\xa0directed the feature film Yes, We're Open\xa0in 2012.
