Denson was accredited by the Australian Cinematographers Society\xa0in 2005 and in 2015 he was accredited by the New Zealand Cinematographers Society.\xa0

Denson's feature film work includes acclaimed films such as The Black Balloon, Oranges and Sunshine, The Waiting City, and The Dark Horse starring Cliff Curtis.

Denson's more recent feature films include the coming of age tale Measure of a Man\xa0for Jim Loach and the Shakespeare-inspired Ophelia\xa0for\xa0Claire McCarthy.
