Britt Raes and Lori Malepart-Traversy - Past Womanimation! Film Festival Audience Award Winners

We interviewed with two past audience award winners in the\xa0Womanimation!\xa0film festival, an international film festival highlighting animated film stories, created by women.

Our first guest was\xa0Britt Raes, from Belgium, whose film is\xa0Catherine, was the winner of the audience award for\xa0Womanimation! 2017.\xa0 She is creating the Womanimation! 2018 Audience Award.\xa0\xa0Catherine\xa0has won jury awards, audience awards, and press awards around the world.

Britt\xa0loves drawing and telling stories, working in animation and collaborating in graphic design. She has been working on an animated series about pets and writing a children\u2019s book.

We also spoke with\xa0Lori Malepart-Traversy, from Montreal, Canada, director of\xa0Le Clitoris, winner of the audience award for\xa0Womanimation! 2016\xa0and was commissioned make the\xa0Womanimation! 2017\xa0Audience Award for\xa0Britt Raes\xa0for\xa0Catherine, a standing clitoris art object inspired by\xa0Le Clitoris.

Lori\u2019s animated short film work includes\xa0Extra champignons,\xa0Sparky Ketchup\xa0and most recently,\xa0Le Clitoris\xa0has toured festivals around the world including\xa0Annecy\xa0and has been featured in online venues such as Short of the Week and\xa0CB Fest. \xa0
