Since 1985, Bettina has worked as an editor with several well-known German directors, on over fifty feature films, documentaries and television films. In her collaborations, she coined narrative rhythm and assembly structure and style of the Berlin School of film.\xa0

Bettina's works are characterized by the invisible interface, which draws attention to story and atmosphere, and the assembly is in the background itself. In 2007 she was awarded the Bremen Film Award awarded for longstanding contributions to European cinema.\xa0

Bettina's\xa0most recent collaboration with Christian Petzold was the feature Barbara\xa0following earlier films with him,\xa0The State I Am In and Yella, and\xa0Barbara\xa0was nominated for the German Film Award.\xa0
