Beginner's mind is an aspect of mindfulness and Zen Buddhism where one approaches life free of expectations, preconceptions and innocent openness. To have beginner's mind is when we look at things, people and circumstances as if we were seeing them for the first time. When we view experiences as experiments and release judgement and worry, our whole attitude and outlook can change from one of fear to one of interest, hope, gratitude and novelty.
