Is the glass half empty or half full? This question points to the idea that our perspective has much to do with our experience of reality. It's easy to believe that our world view or perspective is fixed, that "this is just the way that I am." But this is a fallacy. All personal growth work and deep spiritual practice is aimed at shifting, expanding and elevating our perspectives and thus our experience. Perspective or world-view is like a lens we see the world through. Getting a new pair of glasses may be one of the best things we can do to change and heal how we feel.
