Rules, structure and cultural norms can be helpful, but they can also keep us small or limited. When we measure our success or model our behavior to meet the expectations of others, we may be ignoring our own deeper truth. It's fine to do what's expected of us, or what we think we "should" do, as long as it makes us happy. However, many people climb the ladder of external success to find that the ladder was against the wrong wall and they are living someone elses ideas of happiness.
