What is Population Health?

In this week's episode, Dr. Trey Dobson hosts Southwestern Vermont Medical Center\u2019s Director of Population Health Rory Price, MPH. She will share results from the Community Health Needs Assessment conducted earlier this year.

Price\u2019s professional interests include improving the social determinants of health in rural communities, addressing health disparities related to socioeconomic status, and improving health equity through health education programming, systems change, and community organizing. She earned her master\u2019s in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, where she also developed content for a research study designed to prevent incidence of stroke in residents of Flint, Michigan. She earned her bachelor\u2019s in sociocultural anthropology, also from the University of Michigan. She has worked for several local non-profits, including Greater Bennington Interfaith Community Services, Inc. and RiseVT. She started her career as a community health project coordinator with AmeriCorps Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) at Southwestern Vermont Health Care in 2015.
