On today\u2019s episode of Sole Sistah Sundays with Coach TK podcast, we\u2019re going to talk about how to use strength training in your running routine. As a runner, there\u2019s more to it than just putting on a pair of shoes and hitting that \u201cazphalt\u201d. You\u2019ve got to put in the work behind the scenes to get that done. For instance, when you are working on developing your skill sets as a runner, you may start out as a walker. From there, you would learn the proper skills it takes to start jogging. However, in order to develop this skill, you must use some form of interval training where you would walk for 2 minutes, then jog for 1 minute. Doing this takes the daunting feeling you would have in trying to maintain a certain time frame. It also gives you a sense of accomplishment when you can run for a certain time before stopping.
