She eventually was selected to be involved in several UAW organizing campaigns that defined her passion of union organizing. In 2004, she accepted the position of Executive Director of the West Central Florida Labor Council working with affiliated local unions in a 12-county jurisdiction to further a collaborative political and legislative program
