Considered to be one of science fiction\u2019s most important authors, Wells contributed to the genre with many notable works: \u201cThe Island of Doctor Moreau\u201d, \u201cThe Invisible Man\u201d, and \u201cThe War of the Worlds\u201d.\xa0\n\nIn his non-fiction futurologist works, Wells predicted the advent of airplanes, space travel and even Wikipedia \u2013 although he called it \u201cPermanent World Encyclopaedia\u201d.
