We live in some sort of "Bizarro Mirror Universe" where those that profess to be champions of health are waging a campaign to keep those that they are sworn to protect trapped in the smoky clutches of deadly cigarettes.
Are they doing this because they are themselves addicted to the money that a public campaign to save lives puts into their wallets? Are they addicted to the accolades from the masses? Are they trapped by their own words and can not reverse course due to the fear of being seen as an embarrassment? Or are they power hungry and enjoy the feeling of control?
"Don't do that because I say you can't"
"Don't eat that because I say it's unhealthy!"
"Don't make your own choices! You are stupid and I will make your choices for you!"
