Who better to have on #sonoflibertyradio than ex-Winston Man David Goerlitz?
David worked for R.J. Reynold's modeling as the "Winston Man" in 42 ads including the "Search and Rescue" campaign and helped Winston move from #4 to #2 in worldwide cigarette sales and became America's most-photographed person in cigarette advertisements.
After his brother was diagnosed with cancer in 1988, David publicly quit smoking at the "Great American Smokeout" and became involved in the anti-smoking movement and toured the world telling his story.
David was awarded the medal of honour by the WHO, worked with ACS, ALA and the AHA.
In 1999, his story was published in "Before The Smokescreen" where he told his story about smoking, working with the tobacco industry to addict people to their products.
In the last 10 years, David became very disillusioned with the efforts of so called public health orgs and has become a very vocal advocate for vaping.
David's support of vaping has drawn the ire of his past allies from his anti-smoking efforts and when David starred in the documentary "A Billion Lives" they actively prevented him from traveling to promote the film in India.
