Over the weekend, the New York Times published an op-ed titled \u201cLiberals, You\u2019re Not As Smart As You Think.\u201d In it, University of Virginia political science professor Gerard Alexander accuses American liberals of arrogance and warns them against making broad negative generalizations about large swaths of the population. \u201cLiberals often don\u2019t realize how provocative or inflammatory they can be,\u201d he writes.
