Known as \u201cThe Queen of Space Opera,\u201d Leigh Brackett worked with George Lucas to write a Star Wars sequel before it was called The Empire Strikes Back. Sadly, Brackett tragically died of cancer before completing the project and Lawrence Kasden was brought on \u2014 but several of her ideas and concepts made it to the screen.
