Forgotten was first featured in our Senior Moments Season 1, Episode 8 in 2020. We are\xa0so excited to revisit them again and welcome back the founders Kathi Snow, Sandi King and this time their Mom Peggy McKenney, from Jacksonville, FL
\n\nKathi, Sandi, and Peggy founded Forgotten Angels as a non-profit organization and have grown this idea over the years to what it is today, serving close to 40 nursing homes and over 3000 elders each year.
\n\nPeggy, originally from Lexington, KY is the mother of 3, retired and has lived in the Jacksonville since 2004.\xa0As co-founder of Forgotten Angels, she is the treasurer and as you will hear, is the liaison between the Angles and the nursing home activity directors.\xa0Even though she is in her 80's, you will hear how this lady just keeps things rolling!
\n\nSandi serves as the Vice President and is usually the "voice" of the Angels getting the word out about their activities and making connections.
\n\nKathi is the President of Forgotten Angels. Everything goes through Kathi!\xa0She is in charge of all decision making for all Angel activities and is the "spread sheet" organizer for all they do!\xa0
\n\nThe Forgotten Angels continued their mission as best they could in 2020, surviving the pandemic and now moving forward stronger than ever. With the help of a generous community, amazing volunteers and those wonderful patrons who buy that jelly...this organization just can't be stopped. \xa0\xa0You will hear how their homemade jelly sales help fund what they do, their growth plan and need for more volunteers.
