Rounding out our Ms Senior Jacksonville pageant\xa0we will hear from the 2019 Senior Queen herself, Brenda Griffin.\xa0She describes herself with having a natural passion for learning, teaching, and sharing information.\xa0Currently, she manifests her passion through her roles of Bible Teacher, Resiliency Coach at her local YMCA and financial literacy and wellness advocate.
\n\nBefore retiring from paid work, Brenda spent over 30 years in the financial services industry in various Human Resources roles.\xa0Her professional experience includes leadership consulting, employee relations, diversity and inclusion education, staffing, and development consulting.
\n\nAs a way to \u201cpush the envelope,\u201d in 2019, Brenda participated in the Ms. Senior Jacksonville (FL) pageant and, subsequently, was crowned the winner!\xa0The pageant offers women 60 years old and older an opportunity to achieve personal growth, serve their communities and inspire women of all ages.\xa0In addition to the above benefits, as Ms. Senior Jacksonville, Brenda broadened the reach of her financial advocacy work and deepened her impact in the community.\xa0
\n\nBrenda is most proud of being a wife, mother, and grandmother.\xa0She earned several professional certifications and holds a Masters of Education from Florida State University, where she majored in Counseling and Human Systems.\xa0
